Announcing Research and Training MANRS Fellows

MANRS Fellows are emerging leaders who believe that routing security is essential and are ready to contribute to its improvement in one of three categories: training, research, or policy. Today, we are proud to announce MANRS Fellows in the Training and Research categories.

The MANRS Fellowship Program offers highly motivated individuals an opportunity to be exposed to the mission and work of the MANRS initiative in international development. The Fellowship allows individuals to bring new perspectives, innovative ideas, and recent research experience into the MANRS work to improve routing security. Fellows work with Ambassadors – well respected routing security professionals – to improve their skills while working in a diverse environment.

The selected Research Fellows are:

  • Bahaa Qasim Al-Musawi, University of Kufa
  • Augusto Luciano Mathurin, Lyris IT
  • Ben Scott, Southern Cross University (SCU)

The selected Virtual/Online Training Fellows are:

  • Muzamer Mohd Azalan, Telekom Malaysia
  • Hiba Eltigani, SdNOG
  • Md. Zobair Khan, Fiber@Home Limited
  • Lia Marcia Solis Montano, ENTEL S.A.
  • Michelle Opiyo, Workonline Communications
  • Ram Krishna Pariyar, Subisu Cablenet Pvt Ltd
  • Maria del Carmen Denis Polanco, Internet Exchange Services Yucatan – IXSY

Congratulations to all the selected Fellows! Each Fellow must sign and return a Fellowship Agreement, and we have alternates in case any of the selected candidates cannot participate, so this list may change.

The Internet Society supports this program as part of its work to reduce common routing threats and establish norms for network operations. We look forward to improving routing security around the world together.

We had over 400 applicants in total and therefore need one more week to ensure each applicant gets a full and fair review before selecting the Policy Fellows. We will announce the selected Policy fellows on 14 July 2020. We apologize for the delay.
