Testimonial from India Internet Foundation

Maintaining routing security hygiene is one of the most important aspect for a resilient Critical Internet Infrastructure implementation. Being a community IX, joining MANRS program and implementing best practices will go a long way propagating the change within the community. Joining MANRS program and also working with our peers advocating the best practices are one of the key agendas towards a more secured Internet experience in the region.

Testimonial from Philadelphia Internet Exchange

Having worked for ISPs and NSPs for over 15 years, I’ve seen my share of nasty route leaks and bad announcements in the DFZ. It’s amazing that the internet is built on so much mutual trust between network operators. BGP is inherently insecure, and trusting that all your peers will send you good routing information is just too risky. There needs to be some security standards when connecting networks together, and that’s where MANRS comes in. We figure, there are no organizations more integral to the internet than IXPs, and the reason PhillyIX wanted to join MANRS was to become part of the solution, rather than perpetuate to the problem.
