Action 1: Prevent propagation of incorrect routing information
Equinix Metal ensures our announcements are correct by automated prefix-list generation built from our internal IPAM tool. Our customers must have valid IRR entries for their prefixes before we accept them. We have ROAs for our own prefixes and encourage customers to do the same.
Action 2: Prevent traffic with spoofed source IP addresses
Equinix Metal applies egress filtering to ensure that only traffic from our own, and our customers IP spaces leaves our network.
Action 3: Facilitate global operational communication and coordination
Equinix Metal maintains contact information with relevant registry providers and PeeringDB. We have 24/7 monitoring of all email addresses associated with these registries.
Action 4: Facilitate validation of routing information on a global scale
Equinix Metal uses RADB IRR (AS-PACKET) and we have generated ROAs for all valid prefixes.
Action 5: Encourage MANRS adoption
Equinix Metal encourages other networks to adopt MANRS and play their part in keeping the global Internet secure
